Great news Greg! That guy has about a $1000 profit on his hands.

Altho its been around 25 years I picked up my HRO-500, LF-10, manuals, NIB 
speaker and NIB rack mounts all for $250.

If your friend wants it overhauled have him contact me; I do them regularly.
