A ham friend of mine in Winston-Salem called me the other day and told a nearly unbeleiveable story.  But it's true.

He just bought a National HRO 500 from a guy that is parting out an older hams gear.
Get ready for it: He paid $200 for the HRO 500. Said it looks OK and is complete. What a deal!
I bet there was a sonic Boom when he pulled his wallet out to pay for it! This HRO  500is not for sale and there is no other bargain gear available at this time.  I just wanted you guys to know about his good fortune, that's all. Perhaps there is a registry for HRO 500 folks?
