I had an interesting experience recently.

I received one of my OWN QSLs back from
a contact back in my Novice days of 1954.
The 80+ year old ham is going back through
his logs and QSLs and returning those when
he can find a current holder of the call.
He thought possibly that my listing was
possibly from the son of his original
contact. I think he was a bit surprised
that I was the same ham, just some 66 years
later!

That is one that I really appreciate, but
I suspect that it is a rarity. But it WAS
a personal connection!

I guess I don't have "collector mentality"
other than for old radios and I have WAY
too many of those!

It's herd-thinning time, for sure.
