I know the 30 was a popular type for one-tube regenerative receivers;
I built several of them in my childhood - of course it was an obsolete
tube even then, but I had an obsolete book with instructions for
building the radio.

What kind of Hickock tester do you have?  I have a book of obsolete
tube types for the 1575 or KS-15750 that includes the 19, 30 and 31.
Will the settings for that tester help you?
