Greetings!
I had a "kit" like this about ten years later in 1962. It was called the
"Progressive Edu-Kit" and you could make a wondrous array of tube
marvels, all with the same set of parts, including a part 15 AMBC
transmitter. It came with a resistance cord for the power supply
voltages (no transformer) and a U-shaped chassis, open at the ends. A
prescription for electric shock, as I more than once picked the thing up
whilst plugged in and paid for my stupidity! Imagine something like that
being marketed these days?!?!?
