Hi Bill,

For my 12th birthday in 1952, my parents secretly bought the grand high 
exalted mysterious radio kit of my dreams.  "BUILD 20 DIFFERENT RADIOS" 
including a TRANSMITTER!!!!!  I would soon be able to communicate with 
anyone on the planet earth and possibly extraterrestrials!!!  My brother 
only after many hours of torture and taking possession of my Red Ryder BB 
gun relented and divulged the location of the Radio Kit.

Having learned the location, I carefully watched the calendar for events 
that would require Dad and Mom to be away for the evening or enough time so 
that I might explore the new treasure without discovery.

When my birthday arrived I had already surreptitiously built, disassembled, 
and returned to the box 6 of 20 projects leaving the transmitter for later; 
had to guarantee a face of excitement when they handed it to me.

Although the kit boasted 20 different radios, the same parts were used for 
all 20 --- one at a time.

This kit also included 3 tubes. --- what was your kit called?
