Southern Airways, not SouthWest.  Southern was swallowed up by someone 
(maybe Delta or maybe they became Delta - can't recall right now) in the late 
50's or early 60's.  They were still flying DC-3's at least into the late 
50's.  SouthWest at that time was still TTA (Trans Texas Air...).

BC-230 was part of SCR-283 and could have been used in 24 volt C-47's, 
although by the time the 24 volt ones came out, SCR-274-N was becoming 
available.
