[Boatanchors] Strange noise on 75 meters

I have a raspy noise with rapid pulses on 3.660 mhz and at about 3.890 mhz.I 
have turned all electronic appliances in the house off including computers, TVs 
lights etc including the door bell by throwing all circuit breakers in the house 
ONE at a time. Can't find a source in the house or immediate area.

Drove down highway and using the AM radio in the van, found an exceptionally 
high noise in the vicinity of two Power Company Transformers approximately 1.5 
miles from our home. I have a good relationship with the Power Cooperative and 
they have been very responsive in the past. I am just not sure the noise I am 
experiencing in my shack is eminating from the transformers in question. I do 
not have this level of noise on 160, 40, 30, 20, I8, 12, or 10. There is noise, 
of course, but not the level or raspy nature of the 75 meter noise. Not sure if 
the transformers 1.5 away miles might be the problem .

During my 54 year ham career, I have searched and sniffed line noise and most of 
it has been such that it appeared across an entire band and often on more than 
one band without peaking at frequencies such as this case. Your thoughts, 
suggestions and musings based upon your knowledge and experience  will be
