[Boatanchors] National Select-o-Ject Question

The Select-o-Ject is basically an audio filter, and the Heath  Q 
multipliers do their work at the radio's IF (all the Heath boxes are centered  on or 
near 455 KHz, and if your receiver has a far-removed IF, like 50 KHz,  you 
will have to do quite a bit of work to lower the RF circuitry's  tuning.   
Functionally (by ear, anyway), they do the same thing, with  the National being 
more "universal", in that its use is not dependent on  the target 
receiver's IF.
