They should be the same. Originally it was 201A, later they dropped the "2"
As for pricing, I wonder if the antique BC radio gang (that use
these) is as active as they were 30 or
more years ago?
As the former owner of over 100 "wood cased radios" years ago, I
enjoyed them until gravitating to BA
gear that was more related to communications. Although the laborious
"tuning the band" with a 3-dial
TRF was novel and a "trip to the past," there's not much else to
retain interest, except for the "fine
furniture" aspect of the wood housings. (that's my story, and I'm
stickin' with it) :-)
Still have a lot of 4, 5, 6 and 7 pin receiver tubes on the shelf...
glow bottles never cease to
fascinate.
