[Boatanchors] Help with WRL Globe Scout 680

I've been working to get AM working on a Globe Scout 680, which functions ok on CW.  The AM/CW switch SW2 was (1) not the original, (2) broken, and a (3) rewired to eliminate SW2 from all circuits and prevent AM. 



I installed a new switch and wired it correctly,but am getting no modulation using a D104 microphone which functions fine driving a T-4XB.  The troubleshooting mentions "shorted choke CH2 due to defective switch SW2".  How can I determine whether the choke is shorted, and obtain a replacement if it is?  The inductance isn't mentioned anywhere that I can find.
