Hi Folks,

I am trying to find the Amphenol part number for the 5-pin connectors
used on the Valiant II transmitter to connect the bias switching
circuitry for SSB operation. It's a round connector about 1/2" in
diameter with 5 pins arranged as follows: (fixed font)

         *   *
        *     *
           *

I am attaching a pic of the rear apron of a Valiant II showing the
connector just beneath the fuseholder. The plug shell is approximately
1-1/2" long and the female chassis receptacle has metal "wipers"
surrounding the plug to provide a friction fit of the plug/shell into
the receptacle. There are no threads or other mechanism to hold the
plug into the receptacle. It's retained by friction alone. The
phenolic plug body has "Amphenol" molded between the pins, but there is
no part number that I could find.

I'm sure these connectors are available somewhere, if I only knew the
series and/or part number.

Can someone (possibly with a Valiant II or other gear which uses this
connector) give me some info to help me identify this connector?

Thanks!
