There will be a verse or prose holiday literary item appearing her each
Saturday and Sunday through Christmas. Some will deal with Hallicrafters,
some other radio gear and some about the Christmas holidays with the usual
cast of characters, Frost, Rudolph, Santa, mischevous Elves, Jack Frost and
more.

All of them will also appear on the HHI web site, along with others that
appear 'only' there! I hope that you enjoy them!

Join us tomorrow, Sunday December 11th. for the HHI 20 meter Sunday Net. It
will commence at 12:30 PM EST and run until 2:00 PM EST, or 1730 - 1900 UTC.

The frequency will be 14.293 MHZ USB +/- Key Clicks, Mike Splatter and
dribble from 14.295 MHZ USB, the Old Mike Net. They have been officially
notified of their interference. Whether or not it does any good is another
question.

As some of you know, I got read the riot act last Sunday for obliterating
reception on 14.295 MHZ USB. I offered to drop 500 cycles if they would
slide up 500 cycles. Nope! They refused to budge. I did do what I said I
would do and dropped down. They did not slide up, however.

For those of you having trouble hearing me through the splatter, there may
be hope coming! My ailing Ameritron Al-82a that has a HV arc issue is now in
the repair hands of Dr. Jan, K1ND and W8KY, Jim, the engineer who designed
and built the Heathkit Twoer, and other products. When they get her back to
good health, I will be operating as I ued to at 1200 watts PEP, not the
current 450 watts PEP on voice peaks. Hopefully then you can copy me well
enough for a QSO.

Please keep the Hallicrafters Web Master, W5JT, Jim, in your thoughts and
prayers. Jim is having some very risky surgery soon. He will be hospitalized
for several weeks following the surgery and for six to eight weeks after he
returns home.

If any of you can help as a temporary Web Master, it would really help all
of us out. Contact Jim direct at: WWW.W9WZE.NET

Here is hoping to hear many of you tomorrow!
