Hi Todd,
I didn't feel it but for maybe 5 or so secs. But when I saw the tower guys shacking I knew something was going on. A very interesting experience, but that's all I want to experience from a quake..hi.

Hopefully Irene will keep moving east, but we may get some wind and rain here in Johnston Co. Probably won't make Shelby/Dallas..sure would like to tho. Its been many years since I went. Have fun..73 de Bill K4JYS

Felt it here just north of Raleigh, shook the place pretty well for 15
seconds or so. Very strong for maybe 5 seconds, as if there were
giants on either end of the house shaking it to and fro. Was right
around 1:52-53 by my clock. No damage inside, need to inspect the
foundation today for cracks.

We also had one a few months ago, maybe late last year. Was a very
brief 'thud', making me think something hit the house. Wife told me
later that it was a small quake, also centered in VA.

Now, if Irene will be so kind as to continue wandering to the east, we
should get away with just a little wind and rain.

See you at Shelby next week? I'm going to get there earlier this year
so that Al Parker doesn't beat me to all the goodies. (o: Bringing a
bunch to sell, too. Harvey Wells, Meissner, Central Electronics, it
all needs a new home.
