Thanks to all who sent responses to my post regarding a "rule of thumb" for 
guessing the current-capacity of a transformer.  While I was just asking for 
a "rough idea" of current capacity, I did receive a couple of replies 
outlining a more scientific method of assessing  my transformer and I 
appreciate those.

Thanks to all.  The transformer I have looks like it will do the job even 
using the most conservative "rule of thumb" calculations for watts per 
pound.
