I have one of these and it is not a SUB WOOFER and does not cut out in the
voice range but does limit the highs and should limit those

Hi,
Thank you. Only one note. If you're buying a 10" speaker for service
as a "wide range" speaker for the usual BA speaker cabinets (like the
National one I have), I'd be very leery of anything billed as a
"Woofer" as many (most?) woofers will start to have a very sharp
roll-off before you get into the mid voice ranges. . .
When I needed a replacement for my National cabinet I did a lot of
research. I finally settled on a Weber Alnico 10" guitar speaker from
Musician's Friend. At almost $50.00 (free shipping) it's NOT cheap, but
I feel it was the best choice I found. They (and Jensen) both make a
cheaper 10" speaker with ceramic magnets that may be satisfactory, but
the Alnico one, while billed for guitar, seems to be voiced about right
for "wide range" communications use. It's a great match to the PP
6V6's in my National NC183!
