First you are assuming the amp is 100% functional and not ready to blow the
PS caps or tubes.
Place right big knob (BS) on 80, center big knob (TUNE) somewhere in the 80M
sweep painted on the panel and left big knob (LOAD) pointing straight up.
Meter switch on Grid, thats the left little knob
Hook up input and output coax and relay control, ignore the ALC connection.
NOTE: The relay is 115VDC, absolutely not compatible with most SS xcvrs, get
an amp keyer interface or install a Soft Key kit from Harbach.
Apply drive and wiggle both Tune and Load big knobs until grid current is
mid scale, Use left big knob to increase or decrease and center big knob to
peak. Do not leave key down over 30 seconds.
Granny should stay within a 75M frequency range that doesnt require
retuning, about 50kc (granny probably isnt int Hz) either side of where
tuned.
I bet she has a muzzle loader over the mantle and an AK-47 under the bed.
