Bill,

My gun uses nuts. I just cut a length to #12 or #10 copper wire and make up 
my own. I put a twist in the poop at the tip end for more solder holding 
area. Life is no longer than the stock tips but the price is better. You can 
drill the nuts for a large dia wire and maybe use a single strand from some 
heavy size conductor.
