If you are talking about a 3-circuit brass-bodied concentric microphone 
plug with plastic screw-on sleeve and slightly smaller in diameter than the 
standard 1/4" dia. 2-circuit headset plug, that would be the PL-68 or PJ-068.  
Diameter is 7/32".  First made in the late 1920's and the standard or most 
common US microphone plug until the early 1950's.  And still in at least 
secondary use in aircraft into at least the 1990's.
