Bill, Et al,

The first thing that hasn't been factored into the costs, is his QTH.

Historically, electronics are very inexpensive in Korea.  I have no 
doubt whatsoever that Mr. Yong can obtain and build the circuit for 
close to a $1.

I have shopped their electronics market area on many instances.
