My wife collects clocks and watches. She has around 50 of them! Every
time we go from or to DST she changes the clock next to the bed and I get to
change the rest. I don't think that she could find someone else to make
all the changes! But, she doesn't complain about all my radios so I just
keep changing the clocks.
This business of changing the clocks twice a year is one of my pet peeves.
Why do we still do this? Does it serve any purpose anymore? Personally, I
think not. Since it is not a Federal mandate, individual states have the
right to ignore it and not change their clocks, which a few states do. How
about starting an Internet campaign to abolish DST? You really wouldn't have
to do anything, just EVERYONE refuse to change their clocks!
Doesn't anyone think about what this costs? It's a huge waste of time and
money.
