[Boatanchors] [Milsurplus] Should i really go ahead and buy this? Will it help?

When I used to work at Lowes Home Improvement years ago, I was in the electrical dept. One of our training classes was taught by guy from Cooper or Leviton wiring devices. (I can't remember which now). The 39 cent outlets you buy have basically two wiper contacts in them for each prong of the plug.
The really expensive ones i.e. "industrial/hospital" grade have up to 5 wipers/contacts if I recall correctly. And there are a few models in between.
Not totally off topic, just some inside knowledge that you can use next time you replace an outlet and plug in that boatanchor:)
And yes - I wonder what these audio guys would do if they could see the romex cable behind the walls.
