I remember Hazel! She earned the nickname Witchhazel!
I was out delivering papers when her tail hit far western
NY state. Sometimes I wonder if her remnants collided
with a low coming SE from northern Ontario. Dang, it
rained hard and long and COLD, too! I was drenched!

Hi Todd,
---- snippage ----
I have a feeling these storms are gonna trend toward the
severe side in the future. I don't remember storms being
this rough and the heavy rains we have now...but, as a kid,
I probably didn't pay that much attention to the weather..
..except for Hurricane Hazel...I do remember her.
---- snippage ----
I'll be reading over all the suggestions and will try to
work out something else also. I'm glad I don't have but
two 20+ yr old rice boxes. Their multi-legged fuses just
can't take it like a boatanchor..hi.
