[Boatanchors] RAX-1 Receiver available

  Hello All:


   I have a CG-46117 receiver for the RAX-1 radio set. It is very early 
serial number 88.

    7 - 27 MHz in 5 bands, AM/CW/MCW, originally had a dynamotor.


  This one is less it's top and bottom covers, no dynamotor - someone has 
jammed screws in the dynamotor socket for external power supply, and has a 
folded-up note paper inside saying that it's been converted to 6V 
filaments, takes 160 - 220 VDC at 60 mils, and that one section of the 
bathtub cap on the back subchassis is "blown".

  In pretty good cosmetic shape considering, has two small dings on the 
tuning dial housing, otherwise all knobs, etc. are there. Mechanically 
it's a little stiff (aren't we all?) but things seem to work.


   I can take pix and/or send more info to Interested Parties.  I have not 
fired it up, too many other projects. The note paper says it was working 
when the note was written...  in what decade, I don't know. :)


   Asking $50 or best offer, sold to and shipped to US Adresses Only, from
