[Boatanchors] Tube socket problems

I frequently run into this problem and wonder if any one has come up with a
easy, simple solution:

How do you clean the tube socket connections?

This is a big problem on a rig that has been sitting for a long time and has
been stored in less than ideal conditions.

The tubes check ok but when I wiggle the tube there is either a lot of noise
in the receiver or the filament goes out.

The solder connections on the socket are ok.

I have tried squeezing the contacts together with a small pick and used
contact cleaner and it helps somewhat, but the above problem still persists.

Any ideas????
