Well I have had dealings with Bry on a few occasions and if your
hatred of CBers is that bad oh well. He is a stand up guy And was
selling meters not amps as so many have claimed. If I was in his
shoes Ide go ahead and leave this forum so the rest of you gents can
fend for yourselves. Have a nice day and 73, Bill kf6wxj
PS As was said you might want to check out the rest of the folks on
75/80 meters. Some are worse that any CBer Ive heard.

I don't know why those people want to talk that way on the air Since I don't have an HF antenna capable of 80m (only have a Mosely 4 band vertical - 40/20/15/10 - ground mounted on my small lot), I don't listen there very often. It frustrates me because I can't operate what I can hear.

I've got the vintage equipment to get on there as well - a restored DX-100 with a D-104 and one of my vintage receivers that currently need restoring. I've got a National NC-300, a Hallicrafters SX-101A Mk III, a National HRO-5 (only have the 40m coil set), and a Hammarlund HQ-120. I'm leaning towards restoring the NC-300, because everyone always talks about how it's one of the best for AM work. I've had no personal experience with one, however. If I run into problems, I may be asking some questions here. Restoration looks fairly straight-forward, though.
