I recall that, in the early 60's there was a group of hams that ran 11 meter 
gear in the Denver area. . . .

At that time I had had my general ticket for over 10 years but also used CB 
to talk to other hams. We all ran legal CB gear. . . .

I even remember my call ~ 15WØ462! At that time it was sometime had to find 
some one to talk to on CB.
