[Boatanchors] Panel Labels Question

I am re-packaging a radio and will need to label the controls on
the front panel. The panel will have a semi-gloss (or maybe not)
finish.
Before I plow ahead and re-invent the wheel, I thought I would ask
the group what they prefer in labels. Something a step above my
old DYMO labeler is warranted on this project.
