[Boatanchors] audio transformer

Since you're going from an 8-ohm source to a 600-ohm load you don't need
a transformer, unless the voltage from the source is insufficient to
drive the load. If you were going in the other direction you would need
a transformer to prevent overloading the 600 ohm source.

If you do need a transformer, there is a fairly common one - Radio Shack
may still have them - used in PA systems which hook speakers to a
70-volt line. These typically have several taps for the speaker
impedance and then taps on the primary marked in the number of watts
you want to feed to the speaker. The 10-watt tap is the correct one
for 500 ohms, which is close enough to 600.
