Hi folks,
John's correct, nobody here should be giving advice, but it is a valid
question and concern. It does come up every 6 mo.s or so on the
reflectors.
The concerned individual should contact his/her manufacturer directly
and express the specific circumstances.
Individual experiences or opinions are not necessarily applicable in
matters of life and death such as this could be. The ARRL posted (in
QST I think) a Q&A on the subject recently, it wasn't very good, and I
let them know.
I have an implanted cardiac defibrillator incl. pacemaker. My
manufacturer is very knowledgeable on the subject of RF and any possible
interference. They are not overly cautious, in my experience. The
doctors are not very knowledgeable, again, in my experience, which is
more than 12 yrs, and I'm on my third device.
again --
The concerned individual should contact his/her manufacturer directly
and express the specific circumstances. Our opinions or "advice" don't
count.
