[Boatanchors] 12DQ6 tube question

Jim,

Yes, generally correct.  However, if I'm reading Sibley (Tube Lore)  
correctly the (12DQ6) "A" version has a bit higher plate dissipation  
rating than the non-A (18W vs. 15W). Substitution should be FB,  
though.  Looks like one could also substitute 12DQ6Bs and 12GW6s which  
had button type bases.
