According to RCA, they were used in VHF/UHF comm equipment. The fins
allowed for forced air cooling which apparently they needed to keep from
frying.

While they state they're good for Class C and Grounded Grid operation, I
can't help but wonder if a couple wouldn't work nicely in an HF Class B
push-pull linear, or four parallel push-pull. As we all know (phrase
meaning "Hardly anyone knows this but I'll pretend they do.), I love
subminiature (pencil, wire lead etc) tubes and these would be definitely
neat in a couple rigs I've been sketching out around them. Sooo ... anyone
have a bunch of these they're tripping over and would be willing to send a
poor hitchhiker trying to see the universe on 5 credits/day?

Best regards,
