Seems your wish has been granted, or soon will be. The solar activity
is the reason the low bands are in the toilet right now. They seem to
have receovered at least a bit last night as I was hearing AM 740 out
of Toronto down here in NC. Couldn't hear Radio Reloj, though.
Fone activity on 40 is always spotty in the summer months, but expect
it to pick up over the next few months. As well as the 7169 area, I've
worked on 7220, 7150, 7170 and a number of other frequencies. I have
to rebuild my 40m ant before I get back on there. Aside from band
conditions, the only other issue seems too often to be too many people
listening and no one calling CQ. Of all the times I've called below
7200, only twice have I gotten no bites.
Warren, I heard you a while back on 40. Wonder if we're going to see
you and your posse at NEAR-Fest in October?
