Bob - there is some more activity around 7160 kHz than there used to be.

Perhaps a little less on 7295 kHz but I hear them around 7285 and 7290 kHz still 
too...

A few years ago the FCC expanded the 40M Phone segment.

But I have seen no more 40M phone activity. About the only time I see any 40M 
phone activity is during contests.

OTOH: I am not seeing much 40M CW activity either. Right now it seems to be 
about ZIP! I am not seeing much on 20M either.
