You have come close to describing the transmitter I want to build when I get
my lic back this winter or next spring.
and I thought I was the only one crazy enough ! For me just a way to mix
all the technologies.
DDS->transistors->1625. I was only interested in CW, but I guess one could
include IC's for audio / SSB and you would have all generations of technology.
1625's since I have some new ones, and I think they look cooler
