First time I ever saw those was when I was 14. A friend of my dads lived a
few blocks away and was an OT ham and ran a pair at a "KW" on 20M CW only.
Cant remember the call but he was a well known LINY DXer in the 50's and
used a SX-28A and 3 el yagi.
Anyway they operated at a bright white and it wasnt until years later that I
found out what a pole pig was (-;
