Yes Nick, that is it exactly. But, it does not show continuity on the
center pin, rather shows 15pf capacitance.
Very interesting, huh?

Sounds like one of those solderless "twist-on" BNC connectors - the
inside thread screws onto the co-ax shield. But really hard to tell
without a photo.
