[Boatanchors] unknown connector

No, I definitely know a 'F' connector from a BNC. This piggy back
section is 3/8 inch because I put an open end wrench on it. To better
describe it I would say it looks like a haxagon standoff. I think you
are on the right track with the DC blocking part but why is it
threaded inside? The BNC male part is all-in-one with the rear hexagon
section. Hmmmmm

Dick,
Is that 3/8" for sure, maybe an 'F' connector? If it is that it could
very
well be a DC block adapter for video as used in security cameras etc.

Maybe someone here has seen one of these but it is new to me. I have a
BNC male thingy with a 3/8 inch threaded metal hexagon stub 3/4 inches
long as part of the connector. It does not have DC continuity so I
tested it with my LCR meter and it reads about 15pf.

What would this be used for and does it have a name. (other than
thingy?)

Thanks and 73, Dick KF4NS
