I never liked the wire-mesh type.  It doesn't double as an installer.  I 
use the type shaped somewhat like straight forceps or clamps, with neoprene 
coated spatulate tips.  There is a Signal Corps TL- number for them but I've 
forgotten it.  I think GC used to sell them.  You might try AES at 
tubesandmore.com .
