I concur with other responders. I have a GPR-91 (basically a GPR-90 with an option for crystal-controlled channels) and a GSB-1, and also an R-390A with a TMC sideband adapter. The GPR is great for casual listening. The 390 is a more serious machine -- more work, but better results in demanding situations.

There were many Boat Anchors at the Shelby/Dallas, N.C. Hamfest this past weeknd. I saw a very nice GPR-90, first one in many years. Just wondered, from those who know, how do these two receivers compare?
