I saw it too, Harold. A bit dusty, but otherwise clean. They certainly are
nice looking radios, but IMO don't hold a candle to the R-390 family, or
even many of the higher end commercial receivers. They are a bit numb on the
sensitivity side and tend to wander far more than they should for their age.
The rather scarce -92 is another matter entirely.

This was my first time at Shelby along with Steve WB3HUZ and Joe WA2PJP who
traveled down from Virginia and Long Island. We were VERY impressed by the
size o the event, the overall quantity, as well as quality of the gear
offered. And the folks were friendly as can be. WX was even perfect.

Now, if they could only do away with the ridiculous number of golf carts
there and just use a few for shuttling folks, it would be even more
enjoyable. Many of the folks renting them looked as though they could
benefit from a good walk, HI.
