[Boatanchors] Viking II Switch Replacement

Dick,
It does have two nuts.
I was successful on a similar setup in doing the replacement without panel removal. Check to see if the inner nut is partially visible from any cutout or other access on the chassis or around the panel. If it is you may be able to unscrew the outer nut and then rotate the switch to pull it from the inner nut while applying some pressure to the nut to hold it in place. Reverse the process to install the new switch. It is partially a matter of luck but on the receiver I did pulling the front panel would have been much worse (and potential damage to other components was greater) than doing the same repair on a Viking 2.
Otherwise, pulling the front panel on the Viking 2 is not that bad and the worst problem is often stubborn knob set screws.

The HV switch seems to have lost it's mind. Replacement is necessary.
In looking at it, I got a sinking feeling that besides the nut on the front,
there is another nut on the chassis. This makes me think I need to
remove the Front Panel, something I don't look forward to.
Am I correct in my assumption ??
