Hi Tom:
Check the AM/CW-SSB switch.  If it is a DPST switch, it is a MARK 2.  The A 
and B suffix point to knob and hardware variations.  If it's a MARK 1, 
download the MARK 2 manual from BAMA and wire and align to MARK 2 specs. 
There are only six or seven wiring changes along with the AM/CW-SSB switch 
that make the MARK 1 a great sounding SSB radio.  Kindest regards Jim K9AXN
