Are you trying to order over the Internet or are you ordering my telephone?
I always use the 800 number and talk to a real person. This way you can request a specific method of shipping. Also, if you order over the Internet it can take up to between 24 and 48 hours additional time for your order to get processed. Not every time, but enough if you ask the telephone representative they will tell you that ordering on line may take longer. When you telephone our order just as soon as the representative finishes the order is immediately sent to the shipping department whereas for the on line orders someone has to take time to handle the order.
Although Mouser is basically "local" to me (they are on the south side of Fort Worth and I am on the north side of Dallas) it is much more convenient to me to telephone my order and then it is received the next business day. My usual shipping charge is less than $5 (shipped by UPS) and there is no way that I can drive over to Mouser and get my parts for that. In fact, I cannot justify driving over for even $10. Now I do usually order more than a couple of dollars of parts.

This might a little off topic of weird....
I need to over some parts from Mouser. Total cost is less than two bucks. But, they want to charge 10 bucks to ship the parts by FedEX where you could di it for fifty cents via USPS.
This makes me a little pee-qued....so...what is an answer here? Any one live by Mouser who could go by and get the parts and mail them? That would be a great service.
