[Boatanchors] Multicore solder specifications?

Sandy,

I ran across the same thing ONCE.  The weird aroma along with the flow 
characteristics apparently is all encompassed by the "rosin" formula.  I 
replaced it "rapidly" with Kester.  The problem "went" with the roll!
