Me too, many times. 'Cept I used plain Elmer's white glue & toilet paper 
or Kleenex.  I have a Zenith AM/FM table model radio from the late 
forties with a six inch speaker running with a couple of tears of about 
one inch repaired that way.  Sounds great.

If your speakers are beyond "field expedient" repairs, try 
www.circuitshop.com .  I had the woofers in my sainted Dynaco A-25's 
rebuilt by them three or four years ago.  The speakers are 10" units and 
were $40 each.  You go to the web site and request a quote by email.
