[Boatanchors] IKW Dummy loads

Here I use the commercial load from a URC32 1KW SSB transceiver. I have
used two beacon bulbs from the antenna tower in series and connected as the
load for a commercial 1KW AM transmitter to keep it on the
air while the tower was being repainted. Station marketing was happy
because they didn't lose any ad revenue. Back in the old days I used a 75
watt light bulb
as a dummy load for my Viking Ranger. On ten meters it was heard all over
town (Miami, FL 1951)
Brgds to all, Geo
