[Boatanchors] Hallicrafter SX-9

Hello David,

You might invest in Chuck Dachis publication "Radios By Hallicrafters",
second edition, aprox. $25, source: Amazon

Do NOT buy the first edition! It is included in the second edition!

Since there are not many of this "first?" mass produced RX still around, the
material in Chuck's book may be one of the few accurate sources for
detailing information.

There is still 'much' debate as to which Hallicrafters receiver was the
"first" one built for Hallicrafters by Silver Marshall in 1934. Some contend
that it was the S-9 others say it was not.

Since Bill Halligan, Sr. had no factory, he had everything built by Silver
Marshall at first. Now which receiver was "first" from them, I am not sure
of.

When Bill got a production site and built his own equipment, about late 1935
or early 1936, which RX was the first sold to the public? The S-9? The S-3?
The T-5?
