 i picked a case of 15 E and 15 R at a hams garage sale 

contacted Eimac.  they sent me a 1 page document, thay where WWII microwave tubes, there is not a lot of documentation on them back when i did my checking out. 

So i still have them setting around, i never figuired out what i could do with them.

It is, in fact, a radar transmitting tube, c WW2.  Used, usually in groups, 
as either a final amplifier in small radar, or as a driver for a larger 
radar transmitter. 

Specs are very similar to the old 20T. 

Doesn't use a socket, but, as Eimac calls it, a "fixture", for the filament 
pins.  This fixture allows for a small amount of movement as the tube heats 
or cools. 

If you attempt to use one, be aware that the grid is the top pin and the 
plate is out of the side of the envelope.
