Rod,
That is why I use either a tuned dipole for where I'm going - OR - use
the BC-939 Antenna (coupler) Tuner with the specified length of wire. I
put coupler in () because it really isn't a tuner in the sense that the
impedance is matched. The BC-939 is actually a coupler that takes the
output of the BC-610, and "couples" it to the specific length of wire as
listed in the tables for the BC-610.
As a matter of fact, the BC-939 has an output impedance MUCH closer to
300 ohms.
So we get into ANOTHER kettle of fish once we get into using the BC-610.
I would NEVER fire it into anything rated below 1500Watts! I am not
interested in frying anything or anybody!
